Earthy browns, golds, and mysterious deep steel blue shades shimmer and shift in this falcon eye cabochon pendant. The falcon eye stone is also known as hawk eye or blue tiger eye, and I chose to sculpt a free form wire wrap setting in antiqued sterling silver to accentuate the cabochon's slightly off-center triangle shape. Golden freshwater pearls surrounded by swirls of sterling silver wire bring out the golden sheen that undulates across the face of the stone, while in the lower left corner, chatoyant bands ripple and change with the light and the movement of the pendant. The video shows how light accentuates the chatoyancy of the stone, and the last photo shows the back of the pendant, with the network of decorative wires.
Size: This pendant is about 2 1/2 inches tall and 1 1/2 inches wide, and the black leather cord with the sterling silver lobster clasp closure is 18 inches long.
