Earthy yet feminine, a polymer clay shield in shades of rose and gray, with flecks of copper foil, provides the backdrop for a butterfly emblem created of copper metal clay. This emblem is also unique, crafted from one of my own hand-sculpted molds. Framing the shield on either side are wire wrapped Art Nouveau style swirling designs adorned with oxidized copper colored pewter leaves. Rosy brown freshwater button pearls and smoky pink seed beads connect the shield to the rose-pink ribbon neck cord, which is finished with a hand forged copper hook and eye clasp.
Sure to get attention, the focal shield piece measures 2 inches tall and 1 3/4 inches wide. The length of this piece, including neck cord and handcrafted clasp, is approximately 23 inches.
