Moss Agate Statement Necklace ~ Copper Wire Wrapped Renaissance Festoon Necklace

Big and bold, with elegant Renaissance styling, this elaborate moss agate teardrop and coin pearl festoon or bib necklace certainly makes a statement! I've laced together the frame using woven copper wire, and these curves and swirls have been embellished with moss agate beads coupled with iridescent purple-hued coin pearls for the bib festoon. Then, suspended from this graceful framework, is a large, hand netted moss agate pendant. The earthy focal stone features flecks and ribbons of gray and green, like moss in a deep and mysterious lake.

Copper chain, coupled with crinkled silk fairy ribbon in a rosy chocolate color edged in purple, creates the necklace, and a beaded, handcrafted S clasp, coupled with a beaded eye completes the closure.

The tear-shaped focal is 2 1/2 inches long and about 1 3/4 inches wide. The bib portion of this necklace is 5 3/4 inches wide and 2 1/2 inches tall. The combined measurements of the bib and the pendant are 5 3/4 inches wide and almost 6 inches in length. The ribbon and chain cords are each about 7 inches, so the large pendant on this piece will hang low, well suited for a low-cut (decollete) blouse or dress.
